The Horn Shark (Heterodontus japonicus) is a small, bottom-dwelling shark native to Japan’s coastal waters. Recognizable by its distinctive horn-like ridges above the eyes, this species is known for its slow, nocturnal behavior and preference for rocky reef habitats. It feeds primarily on mollusks and crustaceans, using its strong jaws to crush shells. Suitable for experienced aquarists, the Horn Shark requires a spacious tank with plenty of hiding places and stable water conditions to thrive.
